What youthful, budding artist did not at one time have (or covet) the classic LiteBrite toy? There was no better way to show off your awesome creative talent to the kids next door than by constructing dazzling pictures from colored lights in between games of Super Mario Brothers. Thankfully you can still demonstrate your LiteBrite-ing skills at the Providence Children's Museum's "Power of Play" exhibit featuring a giant wall-sized version of the luminescent icon...
OK, so it's really just supposed to be for kids, but we've often seen just as many parents as children designing acrylic peg masterpieces. In addition to being tons of fun, it's actually pretty darn gorgeous (especially compared to its plastic predecessor) and we certainly wouldn't mind having our own wall of light installation at home.
Visit the Providence Children's Museum website for more information.

Early Spring?
So the other day I was going out to lunch at work, and I saw a huge Robin sitting in a tree outside our office window. The weather was 41 degrees, but the week before had been in the single digits. Plus it's seems way to early for Robins to be returning to Western New York. But as I write this, I can hear song birds outside my window! It's the first time all winter that I have heard them. The sun is shining, and it's a beautiful 6 degrees Fahrenheit! The birds must know something about spring coming early.
